Did this bug get filed and resolved? I'm not sure how to figure that out from this thread. Thanks...

Guess it has been triaged but not assigned, so no outlook for any fix soon. Googling around, others are having this problem. Yoga 2 Pro and T440s touchscreens work with various Linux distros. I have tried Ubuntu 14.10 and Xubuntu 14.10 (reports of T440s touch working so I had nothing to lose although it should have the same drivers as Ubuntu) but no joy. I'm going to contact Lenovo support since they have a Chromebook touch version of the 11e and also a Linux version of the touch Yoga 11e which ships only in Europe, so maybe there is a patch somewhere. Anything I can do to help debug and fix this? Thanks...

The touchscreen is connected via I2C ("HID over I2C"), so lsusb cannot find anything. So, probably the Linux-i2c-hid-driver has to be extended to make the touchscreen work. Alternatively, a separate, e.g. user-space-driver could be written, if the Linux-i2c-hid-driver cannot be extended.

The touchscreen does not work with Linux kernels up to 4.0. The problem is solved in linux-next, which will be released as Linux kernel 4.1.
