Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.10 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Already tested with the latest upstream kernel but still the bug exists. Right now i am using internet via sharing through LAN from my desktop. Its very serious bug it needs to be fixed. whenever i installed newer ubuntu version with support of kernel 4x my wifi card doesn't work. And also i have noticed that when my wifi is disable the airplane mode is also enabled by default and i am unable to disable it...So, i need to revert back to windows and i have done it more than 5-6 times.

Ubuntu 15.04 was the only ubuntu version where it worked for a last time. ubuntu 15.04 offers kernel 3.19 and linux mint 17.3 offers the same.

But from ubuntu 15.10 it stopped working. Hope you would find the solution. I have attached also the screenshot.
