For me this bug is reproductable by using this laptop hardware switch (wireless on/off).

I can second that, although more specifically I get the bug when reconnection occurs after cycling the wireless hardware switch.

I'm on 2.6.31-14, and I can no longer reproduce it.

The same with linux-image_2.6.31.14.27_amd64, but this time apport didn't come up.

This bug happens when I activate wireless on Dell Vostro 1520. Wireless also less reliable that it was on 9.04 but does work. I have to manually toggle the wireless switch every time I switch on the computer though.

Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10

Dell Latitude E6500

Getting same behaviour. The PC cannot decide if the Wireless switch is off or on. Sometimes boots fine, other times the wireless is on and the bluetooth is off and then reversed. If I switch on and off repeatedly PC sometimes figures it out and sets both devices to the correct state.

Bear in mind that the BIOS settings are to disable the wireless switch.
