Bug Description

Binary package hint: lshw

Whenever I run lshw as root on my Dell Inspiron 1470 laptop, the display gets messed up. Everything gets very colorful like a rainbow effect. Text is generally unreadable.

If I log out, the display returns to normal.

This does not occur if I do not run it as root.

I will attach a photo after I submit this.
