mvn 3.5.2 deadlock during dependency resolution

Ubuntu 18.04 ships with Maven 3.5.2, which has a serious known deadlock during dependency resolution, see https://stackoverflow.com/questions/43792427/maven-hangs-for-20-mins-during-the-project-build-used-to-work-fine

The deadlock is fixed in 3.5.3, see https://maven.apache.org/docs/3.5.3/release-notes.html

The latest release is 3.5.4, released in June 2018.

Can you please upgrade the version of Maven in Bionic Beaver?
