Bug Description

Binary package hint: media-player-info

As told by Martin Pitt in bug 601718 the default icon is a multimedia player. But shouldn't phones be displayed as phone devices (in my case my nokia 6300)? Specific devices like the Nexus or the Iphone have an icon. There is an icon named "phone" which could be used as a default icon for generic mobilephones.

That's right. Someone would need to go through all mpi files and add the "phone" icon to everything which is a phone. (Or some known subset of it at least, and we gradually fix this).

Thanks for your reply, how can I know if a device has its own icon? I could manually add the generic phone icon to all phones, but some of them may have their own (like the nexus). Should I submit a patch?
