muon freezes when we enter wrong password

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Confirmed, Muon Package Manager is trying to use KDE su to open /usr/bin/software-properties-kde

Giving it the wrong password seems to make it hang and you have no choice but to terminate it.

Confirmed on clean install of Kubuntu 18.04.3.
It seems to be a bug with kdesu rather than muon itself: kdesu freezes if given a wrong password also calling other commands, for example when launching KDE partition manager from the KDE menu.

I cannot reproduce this in 20.10, can someone reproduce in any remaining supported releases?

steps, hopefully its fixed.
