Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions:

* Is this reproducible and does it happen every time?
* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?

This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

Yes, this is reproducible

Steps to reproduce bug:
* create 3 level deep subdir, say, dirA/dirB/dirC
* place files under dirC
* before clicking expand symbol (triangle), sort order must be other than size
* click expand
* choose sort order by size

Thank you Andika, I can reproduce this doing the steps you provided. The problem is, I am not sure if files that can be seen in subdirectories when I click expand (triangle) should be sorted when I click [sort by size].

It seems that no kind of sorting is possible for subdirectories.

I think I have the solution. When you create another directorie (let's say "dirC2") then sorting works...but don't asked me why ;)

Here I have dirA/dirB/dirC1 and dirA/dirB/dirC2, and the bug happened to both dirC1 and dirC2
