login screen incomplete (UI elements missing)
after entering password screen is garbeled --> crash
safe mode doesn't work either (no characters shown)

Additional information:

1. Problem occured after the updates installed on 07-Apr-2014.

2. In the report there are references to WLAN. This is apparently due to the fact, the installation media (USB drive) had been tested on a WLAN connected laptop. The system in question does not have any WLAN hardware.
