Bug Description

The latest upload of network-manager-applet in Precise (0.9.2.0+git.20120126t000800.5151959-0ubuntu1) leaks memory heavily.

1) Description: Ubuntu precise (development branch)
Release: 12.04

2) Package version 0.9.2.0+git.20120126t000800.5151959-0ubuntu1
3) Memory use for the nm-applet process should stay steady overtime
(less than 20MB RSS in previous versions).
4) Memory increases quickly over time (at least 3 MB/minute, the nm-applet process reaches
200 MB in less than one hour, and keeps increasing).

Work-around:
reverting to version 0.9.1.90-0ubuntu6 fixes the problem (memory use for this version stayed
below 18 MB overnight).

Comments:
There have been various leaked reported against nm-applet, most of them due to a bad interaction
between nm-applet and application-indicator. The behaviour seems similar to the one reported
here for gnome-power-manager:
