Bug Description
This happens when choosing "connec to hidden wireless network" everytime.
Also to note - wireless doesnt appear until i hit the hardware off/on switch on the laptop.
Also since recent ubuntu precise updates, I cannot even select my wireless network when it shows up - it is greyed out. this is likely a separate bug, but mentioning it here too.

I realise the report shows linux mint info - i admit this machine was a linux mint machine before. there could be some old configs lying around. I should probably reinstall to remove any doubt, but this machine was fine previously - and grepping /etc shows only some residual "dpkg-old"type files with references to mint.
