Bug Description

I've been being running Ubuntu 15.04 without problems until a recent system update. Now, connecting to a PPTP VPN using Network Manager fails with the following in /var/log/syslog

Aug 10 16:40:34 mycomputer NetworkManager[739]: <error> [1439239234.476337] [vpn-manager/nm-vpn-connection.c:1778] get_secrets_cb(): Failed to request VPN secrets #2: (6) No agents were available for this request.

I have the same problem under Ubuntu 15.04 x64 for both PPTP and VPNC (Cisco IPsec old vpn client) connections. Openvpn connections seems not to be affected, but I did not test openvpn a lot.

I can find the same error on syslog:
[vpn-manager/nm-vpn-connection.c:1778] get_secrets_cb(): Failed to request VPN secrets #2: (6) No agents were available for this request.

It only happens at the first logon. If I logoff and then logon again, both PPTP and VPNC works fine.
I'm using logoff+logon as a workaround, but it's very annoying.

I did some debugging stopping and launching manually network manager with
 sudo NetworkManager -d --log-level DEBUG
The most useful thing I noticed comparing the debug output of a working logon session with a non working session, is the presence of the following line only on the working session

NetworkManager[5543]: <debug> [1440322623.554175] [settings/nm-agent-manager.c:330] impl_agent_manager_register_with_capabilities(): (:1.182/org.freedesktop.nm-applet/1000) requesting permissions

The above line does not appear when I'm inside a "first logon" (not working) session.
It seems that nm-applet is unable to register as an agent to NetworkManager, but only at the first login.
