"VPN Connection Failed" when trying to connect from applet

Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager-pptp

I configured a VPN connection with a remote PPTP host name, username, and password. When I try to connect I get this error.

I think I had the same problem, with the same version of the package: I downgraded to the previous version (in /var/cache/apt/archives) and the problem went away. If you run nm-applet from a terminal and try to connect, you should see that something is crashing (lots of output on terminal).
