Bug Description

Binary package hint: nicotine

this is a follow up of a earlier bug report concerning Nicotine from SVN. This is the message i am getting now.

python: ../../src/xcb_io.c:176: process_responses: Assertion `!(req && current_request && !(((long) (req->sequence) - (long) (current_request)) <= 0))' failed.
Aborted (core dumped)

Or N+ crashes on the other 2 i send some days ago.

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem here with a Mono application. The error in my application appears when I try to change the Tooltip-Text of a TrayIcon. The error appears since an Upgrade to Ubuntu 9.04. This information may be helpful.

thanks Matthias for the tip, that really helped!

In nicotine+ 1.2.9 on Ubuntu Jaunty, after deactivating the tray icon, up to now my nicotine instance has been running for about 16 h (before it crashed every 10-30 min, this behavior started with the upgrade to Jaunty).

It seems reasonable that Matthias' problem is related - probably my nicotine crashes happened after changing the download rate etc. on the tray tooltip, as they were very infrequent but definitely related to the program's activity.

I'll post a link to this one on the related bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nicotine/+bug/355065
because that one was the first one I found and was watching.
