Bug Description

Not sure what triggers it yet, but every now and then a large white box that covers most of the screen leaving only 1" on the top gets generated. This blinds the launcher bar icons and anything I try to initiate. If I trigger the indicator bar settings icon I can only see the System Settings and the rest falls under this white box. Same if I trigger the HUD menu, I can see what I am typing but the rest is lost under the white box. Logging off does not fix this, the box remains on the log-in screen blinding me from interacting with the log-in menu.

I can see the edge of the launcher icons reacting to the mouse under the white box so it appears as though it is just a display glitch. Is there another driver that I could try?

I will try and make it happen, but happens at least once every two days or so without me trying.

Issue is persistent through a Suspend and Wake cycle as well as a Log off and on cycle as stated previously.

This last time it was triggered when I went to the bookmark star in Chromium on the top right. White screen appeared after the click.

Just happened again...

Can anyone help with maybe a Nvidia driver downgrade or something? I am also suffering from this bug #960877 which may be fixed at the same time. I have a slightly older card so not sure if I need the latest and greatest driver.

Is there a command that I can throw into the run command prompt (the only thing I can see) that will refresh the screen or card so I don't need to reboot every time?

Just happened again following a browser link from a game that was in full screen. So far it has always happened in connection with the browser, Chromium or Chrome.

I am on the latest and greatest NVidia driver as well.
