Bug Description

Over the weekend my Ubuntu phone (mako) stopped showing showing a signal or identifing a carrier. Image #113 was installed (using ubuntu-device-flash --channel=ubuntu-touch/utopic) but I'm not certain it happened immediately after flashing. Today I updated to image #119, with no change. When I go into Cellular settings the Carrier is automatically set to N/A. If set to manual there are no carrier options. I have put my SIM card in another phone and it works fine.

Is there anything I can do to try to figure this out?
I'm not even sure I filed this bug in the right place.

Thanks

As we discussed via email, pretty sure what you were hitting was the urfkill saved_states bug #1321627. A fix was released last Friday, so you should be able to flash a fresh image ( using --wipe ) and things should return to normal. The important thing is making sure that the soft flag in /var/lib/urfkill/saved-states for WWAN is only ever true when Flight Mode is enabled.

If you updates or flash without wipe, and the soft flag is still true, you may need to stop urfkill, update the file, and then start it.
