onboard crashes (Segmentation fault)

Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS.
Just installed onboard using "apt install onboard" which installs version 1.4.1-2ubuntu1

I am running the xfce4 desktop since it is one of the few left that do not force me to use my (work) computer like a mobile phone or tablet.

When running "onboard" from the command line, the message "Segmentation fault (core dumped)" appears. Same for "onboard-settings".

After getting those segfaults dmesg has these messages:
