Bug Description

I've seen this crash 3-4 times now. I think that it's related to my trying to use the Ubuntu Software Center "sync computer" function. It requires that you sign-in to your account. This crash has popped up ever since then.

Thanks for your report there. It seems your computer hostname doesn't match what the syncing server is expecting. Can you please run in a terminal:
$ hostname
and print the result there?

update:

It's possible that I may have fixed this.

I checked my previously edited hostname, and hosts, files, against a clean install system, and noted that I might have introduced some errors. I corrected these two files, and we'll see if the errors come back.

Cheers, Al
