Bug Description

Actual Result:

Oneconf runs even if the end-user is not utilizing the Ubuntu One service and consumes a good portion of memory.

Expected Result:

If user has not enabled Ubuntu One via the Ubuntu One GUI (Panel etc.) then Oneconf should not run in the background and consume resources.

Oneconf runs, but not send any data. I agree that it would be nice that even before starting the service, we check that. However, some additional logic will be needed to be put in place the first time you need to sync to force the package list to update, ensuring that all computers are in sync and such.

That's a nice small project if someone is interesting in helping here :)

Not only does it run, but I see it taking 80MB per (logged in) user. This is in Precise.
