Bug Description

Binary package hint: gaim

I have selected "CP1250" in "Encoding" entry in "ICQ Options" in ICQ account dialog.
In Edgy, there were both incoming and outcoming messages coded correctly (all accented characters of czech language).
But now in Feisty, outcomming messages are still ok, but all incomming messages have
some cyrillic characters instead of czech accented latin characters.

It is 2.0.0beta6 (package version 2.0.0+beta6-1ubuntu4 feisty)

It seams the problem appears only if sender uses QIP client, but note that:
* previous version of Gaim (2.0.0beta3.1 of edgy) worked with those QIP clients correctly;
* people using those QIP clients say that other recipients of their messages (using official ICQ clients) also do not have this problem.

Gaim for Windows has exactly the same problem as Gaim in Ubuntu,
so this bug should be probably forwarded upstream...

Another note: The problem appears only if message is sent directly (both sender and me are online).
When the message is stored on ICQ server, it is delivered in correct coding. So it seems that only Gaim
has problem understanding QIP message characterset.

Under 8.10 (pidgin 2.5.2) I had a similar issue with Ukrainian characters sent from QIP even if ICQ encoding set to "windows-1251". Should I try "CP1251" ?
