2006-07-02 13:55:24 Dennis Kaarsemaker description The dapper (64 bit) live/install CD is missing portmap. If you are trying to fix a machine and copy its data accross over NFS using the CD then you can't NFS mount an external machine. (You have to apt-get the portmap package). Portmap is tiny and it makes a world of difference to the usefulness as a rescue CD. Neither ubuntu-desktop nor ubuntu-live depend on portmap, making NFS mounts dead slow out of the box.

2007-04-16 00:03:25 Philip Paquette None: statusexplanation Sounds reasonable :) Setting package from (undefined) to portmap, so it gets out of the bug list without package. Also, can you confirm this bug still applies in edgy/feisty? Thanks
