Bug Description

Binary package hint: k3b

Release: Kubuntu 9.10 (KDE 4.4rc2)

$ apt-cache policy k3b
k3b:
  Installed: 1.68.0~alpha3-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 1.68.0~alpha3-0ubuntu1
  Version table:

This is a strange little bug and it happened in RC1 as well. Whenever I try to resize the panels, the minute I release the mouse button they go back to their original place. I tried turning off the "lock panels" option and I get the same result. The only way I found to get the panels to stay put was to .. trick them I guess. I found if I resized the panel how I wanted, then, while still holding the left mouse button down, right-clicked, then clicked the "lock panels" button (usually un-checking it in the process), the window would stay put. However, if you tried to resize it normally afterward, it would go back to it's original position (prior to me resizing in the first place).

I did come across a threat on the forums asking about this as well so I know it's not just me.

Hi,
I have version 1.70.0~beta1+svn1087124-0ubuntu1 installed (on Lucid release) and I can confirm this bug.
Instead of Low prio, I think this bug is a High prio one, once on low resolutions is pretty difficult to check what I'm recording.

This is a Qt bug, we'll get the patch in with our Qt 4.6.2 packages.

I can also confirm the newest lucid release as being bugged:

$ apt-cache policy k3b
k3b:

  Candidate: 1.70.0~beta1+svn1087124-0ubuntu2

Also, I updated my system this morning and gave it a good ole` reboot before posting this to make sure it was still broken and it is. Perhaps the Fix is committed but it seems if it was released it wouldn't still be broken. Or is there something I am missing? Does anyone have the apt-cache policy on the "fixed" libs so I can check against what I have?

It's fixed here with Qt 4.6.2, which Qt version you use?

I suppose I should have waited a bit longer before I posted that update, I guess my repos` took a while longer to update than some people... i was using 4.6.1 at my previous post, but I just ran update check again and 4.6.2 came up. After updating I can confirm that this is indeed fixed! Thanks to those who helped out and especially to those whom fixed it!
