Bug Description

The current version of seahorse in Ubuntu 14.04 does not show an option to generate pgp keys larger then 4096 bit.
This should be raised to allow key sizes up to 8192 (at least) as is the case when generating ssh keys

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

Yes this is a upstream issue. However the seahorse project seems barely active, so if you want to have a working version of seahorse in the next Ubuntu release, you (Ubuntu developer) will need to fix some of those bugs yourself.

Correction: since this is rather a functionality request my former post is not correct.
