Bug Description

I imported a public key that I have verified so I signed it (after typing my gpg pwd). I verified this in the trust tab of the properties key. The fact is that the "sign" button is still active and this is misleading. Moreover if I re-sign the key seahorse shows me again the sign window but this time without re-typing the passwd.

See bug 304565 for other "sign" issues similar to this that happens in other scenarios. I thought that it was an usability bug but I realized that this is a bug present many times in seahorse.

thank you for your bug report, could you try on intrepid or jaunty? the details dialog on jaunty seems to active the button only on non signed keys correctly

I tried the issue on Intrepid (seahorse 2.24.1) and the bug is still present.

the duplicate has extra comments, that's not really a bug you can reuse the dialog to change the level of trust, that's not something which is really confusing and doing it differently would require redesigning the dialoge, not really worth the trouble, why do you think it's that much on an issue to be able to resign a key already signed?

Well, the options "not at all" "casually" "very Carefully" included in the signing window are not related to trust level (you have to change the trust level into the "details" tab of the key property window), and for me are related to nothing. I think they are useless info.
Moreover, as I already say in bug #328771 I think the options "how others will see this signature" in the signing window can easly moved outside this dialog so there should be no reason to sign again a key (this should solve the issue described in this post description "Moreover if I re-sign the key, seahorse shows me again the sign window but this time without re-typing the passwd")

you seem to have a strong opinion on this behaviour, could you open the bug on bugzilla.gnome.org directly where you can argue with the people writting the software rather than distribution bug triagers?
