Bug Description

Binary package hint: seahorse

The "Create new key" dialog wrongly lists "PGP key" among possible choices.

This should be "OpenPGP key" as it refers to the type of key, not the commercial application.

I understand the historic reason, however this needs to be updated.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I agree that it makes more sense to refer to the type of key being created, which on Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid) says "PGP key". I will mark this bug Confirmed.

thank you for your bug, it's not clear that such technical details would benefit users, somebody who has an opinion on the topic should discuss that on bugzilla.gnome.org
