I am on Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit updated to 26.3.2012.

I could only speculate what has causedthis crashed:

I have imported an external repository from:

http://www.remastersys.com/

remastersys is already installed and running. A direct crash of SoftwareCenter was not visible to me.

I just installed the 12.04 Beta 2. There are things I like synaptic for. I installed cups-pdf through synaptic. When the install was complete, I got the error message that the software center had crashed. The same thing happened when I installed Gimp through synaptic.
