Bug Description

Update Manager does not report that there is a new dist upgrade available when Option "Long term support releases only" is activated.

This behavior is reproducable for Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty and also Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic.

Expected behavior (Jaunty):
Update Manager should inform that there is a new LTS release available but I have to upgrade to next non-LTS version first.

Alternative Expected behavior (Jaunty):
This option ( "Long term support releases only") should only be available if running a LTS release in the first place.

Expected behavior (Karmic):
This option should have no effect in Karmic release since release Karmic+1 is a LTS release.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug in update-manager.
(With many applications, you can report a future bug directly on the appropriate package by opening the application's "Help" menu and choosing "Report a Problem". https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs)
