Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

It is not possible to rename Gadu-Gadu contacts in Empathy (change the Alias field). This is pretty serious, because Gadu-Gadu identifiers are 7 or 8-digit numbers.

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

I think this should be medium severity, because it makes the Gadu-Gadu support in Empathy (critical for Polish users) rather useless.

Could you reassign the bug rather than close the task and open a new one in such cases? The way you did it means you people who get emails about the component which is not buggy will keep being spammed for things they don't care about there
