Bug Description

Performing the installation of Kubuntu 20.10 from kubuntu-20.10-desktop-amd64.iso, the installation screens exceed the size of the available window. In the initial windows, data is missing to the right while the "Install Kubuntu" button is visible. Starting on the next screen "keyboard Layout", the "Back" button is visible however the "Continue" button is off-screen and requires the user to drag the window to the left to see that button in order to proceed. This now positions the window to possibly see subsequent buttons positioned on the lower right of succeeding panes but now the Installation progress data in the leftmost column of the panes is now not visible. The user will have to scroll left to see that information. All of the other ubuntu distributions ensure that local scrolling is not required to navigate through the install process.

Sounds like this, not the fault of ubiquity: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407058#c9

I am a Kubuntu user and do not know all of the group responsibilities. If anyone knows the proper group responsibility, I welcome that this record is reassigned to the appropriate group.

I've experienced the issue reported by the record https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407058#c9.

I would submit that this may be appropriate if you follow the navigation "Try Kubuntu", attempt to change the display Resolution to higher than 800x600 which is not performed, and then Install Kubuntu. My impression was that Ubiquity is responsible for the entire install process. If that is not the case then please forward this to the correct group.

No matter which group is responsible, the user should not be forced to change display resolutions during the install process and be exposed to truncated information.

Trying again with the current installation of Kubuntu 21.04 Daily Build. The attached screenshots are from the Install process. I believe Ubiquity is in complete control of the installation and any problems with kscreen are not applicable unless Ubiquity has its own version. These screenshots are captured before Kubuntu is installed. Please note the first few screens may look correct left-justified. Proceeding through the screens, the first indication of truncation is on the lower right when Continue buttons become truncated as off-screen right. To remedy this situation, double clicking the top title bar will readjust screen positioning for lower right to be visible which causes truncation of left side due left side of screen being off-screen.
