unable to install updates

Bug Description

I have 4 updates sitting waiting to be installed in system-settings, 3 of which have been there for a few days now (Reminders, Terminal and Fitbit scope). The problem is that clicking install does nothing. I can pause the downloads (which haven't restarted) and resume and reboot and try again, but nothing will shift them.

Today, a 4th update appeared (system-image r162), but I can't install that either.

This issue appears to be the ubuntu-download-manager failing to be triggered. It is not a timeout issue since no progress ever shows for these 4 downloads.

Can you please provide the udm logs under ~/.cache/ubuntu-download-manager/ to ensure that it is udm. The system setting page is quite fragile atm and is possible that the issue is there.

Here you go. Doesn't appear that any new files have been written when I tried to update today.

Logs from 'strace -o /tmp/system-settings.strace -fFv -s 1024 -p $pid'. I tried to start and stop the downloads a couple of times whilst those logs were being generated. No UI activity happened when system-settings was supposedly downloading (except that the label on the download all button changed :-)
