Bug Description
update-manager 1:0.174.4, Ubuntu 12.10
1. At a terminal, enter update-manager -cd
2. Choose "Upgrade..."
What happens: An authentication alert appears saying "Authentication is required to perform a release upgrade"
The word "perform" shouldn't be necessary, the meaning of "release" isn't clear, and the sentence is missing a period.
Better would be something like "To upgrade Ubuntu, you need to authenticate."

It's a good suggestion (though I have no idea if it will be implemented). Marking Triaged/Wishlist.
