Ubuntu 16.04 on powerpc offered to upgrade to 18.04

Bug Description

After the last update, the system ask me to upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04 which (to my knowledge) is not exists for PowerPC 32 or 64bit Big Endian (I have a PowerMac G5 Quad Core).

What the hell is happening?

Big-endian PowerPC support was dropped after 16.10. There is no upgrade path from 16.04.5, however it will be supported for another ~3 years.

Yes that's true, but I recently added code[1] for systems on i386 to
prevent them from receiving the release upgrade dialog. Something
similar could be done for this architecture.
