Bug Description
Reproduce:
Run test a couple of times
UpdateManager fires the checkFinished signal
What happens:
UI state changes to NOUPDATES and the test fails
What should happen:
The test needs to make sure the UI remains in the SEARCHING state

I think what we need are tests that test the UI based on forced states. Maybe when run with -testability we disconnect those signals that change the state and control the state changes from the test and use the test to ensure the proper UI elements are shown based on state.
