Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

I was able to add one or two files, but it did not synchronize even if I tried many times to erase, reconect, reinstall, close my account, repoen it...

The applet simply appears as disconnected, no matter what. I have no information other than that from the screen. Franckly, very frustrating from Ubuntu.

Hi Pierre,

I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One isn't working properly for you. It looks like you may not be using NetworkManager. If this is the case, you can get around this problem by installing our beta PPA. Instructions on how to do this can be found at: https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+faq/836

If you are using NetworkManager, then please let me know.

Thank you,

Joshua

Thank you for the answer.

I use a netbook at home (ubuntu newtbook remix) and WICD is my tool for
wifi connections on it. My computer at the office is on Ubuntu 9.1,
tried both computers with network manager and WICD. Now at the office I
use network manager without any more luck. I also tried to install the
beta version. At one time I was able to connect then all blocked. Since
then I have tried Dropbox and found it perfectly easy and simple, no bug
at all on the 4 computers I tried.

Frankly, I have probably spent 8 hourson this, I will just wait for the
next ubuntu version, maybe it will be ok. I do not want to lose any more
time on it since I have a very nice solution now and the rest of Ubuntu
is perfect for me.

Sorry,

thank you again

pierre,
Glad you found a solution that is working for you. I hope you do try Ubuntu One again on the next release. The Ubuntu One team have been working very hard and made a lot of progress fixing these few bugs. Thank you for your bug report and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Hello,

UbuntuOne on 9.10 does not work. I tried to upgrade Ubuntu to 10.04, but my computer (Dell Latitude 110L, Intel Celeron M) works with this version too slowly. In addition, buttons to close and minimize window are in top left corner, I do not like it, and I did not manage to find solution, how to move buttons to top right corner. So I installed 9.10 again, and now I have problems with UbuntuOne again.

Hi jevgtv,
I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One isn't working properly for you. Can you please file a separate bug for your issue by right-clicking
the Ubuntu One applet & selecting "Report a problem" or by running"ubuntu-bug ubuntuone-client" from a terminal window.

Please also zip your $HOME/.cache/ubuntuone/log/ folder and attach the zip file to your new bug report. This will upload the necessary debugging logs required to help debug your issue.

You can attach logs to your newly created bug report by clicking the 'Add Attachment or patch' button at the bottom of the page.

Alternatively you may find it easier to contact someone in the #ubuntuone IRC channel, on Freenode to help with your issue.

Thanks in advance!
