ubuntuone-control-panel-qt stuck during first run setup

On a fresh install of Quantal amd 64 fully updated, ubuntuone-control-panel-qt gets stuck during first run setup.
Display for ever "Récupération des informations, veuillez pat) this is btw an incompletely translated message (field lacks caracters) of "Information retrieval, please wait".
Clicking next takes me to the last screen "Synchronize your computer with the cloud, clicking on "Terminer" (End/close) has no effect.
