Bug Description

I was trying out the photo lens, and entered a new flickr account in Online Accounts. But the lens didn't immediately show them. Ken guesses that since when the lens started up and I had no accounts, it decided to not listen for the signal.

I don't see the issue here, the lens listens to the signal even if the account is added when it's running.
Investigating.

Michael, have you tried with a Facebook account?
Which version of the package are you running?

Facebook didn't immediately appear either. After a reboot, flickr photos did appear.

I'm using version 0.2.1-0ubuntu1.

Would you mind giving me the output of:
killall unity-lens-photos && /usr/lib/unity-lens-photos/unity-lens-photos
...with at least one account (Flickr or Facebook) activated and after running a search in the lens?

Also, when you have several accounts activated, there should be a "Sources" filter looking like this screenshot. Is it visible ?

Output after a search with flickr enabled is below [1]. I also have sources visible and working now. Again, everything is working now.

This bug was only evident immediately after installing the lens and then setting up a new (first) online account. Do you know how to get back to that state, so I can repeat the bug?

"immediately after installing the lens", without logging out or restarting Unity? Unity doesn't automatically displays new lenses, it needs to be restarted.

Nevertheless, nothing specific to do to return to the first state of the lens, it doesn't store any configuration (except a backup of Shotwell database in ~/.cache/unity-lens-photos). Killing unity-lens-photos and removing accounts is enough.

It did start the lens in Unity without a restart.
