Launcher lenses and trash icons revert to old icons

Bug Description
I updated to Unity 3.8.8 in which the lenses and trash icons were updated. However after a few minutes they return to old icons which were present in Unity 3.8.6. I tried unity --replace and new icons are shown which again reverts to the old icons after a few minutes.

In my case, trash icon reverted to old trash icon when emptying trash.
