Lucid's update-manager does not show a warning when running on battery anymore

Binary package hint: update-manager
In former versions of ubuntu there used to be a warning dialog when a user was running update-manager when running on battery. This dialog does not appear on lucid anymore.
The code to check if running on battery seems to be not working correctly.
