Bug Description

Binary package hint: upower

Like on maverick, the battery indicator module /battery applet is currently stuck (permanently) on "estimating".

To view battery info, I currently rely on a conky batt. function display with gauge and the battery indicators main window... instead of the quick tab function it should normally provide to display either the remaining time or percentage.

I'm trying to apply that patch but when i build the package the patch gets unapplied. What I'm trying to do is to calculate the energy_rate value from the charge_now file instead of using current_now.

I really don't understand why it takes forever for a stupid patch to get set and get rid of such a basic annoyance.. come on canonical! This thing has been like this since lucid...
