The options on the vmbuilder manual page are out of date wrt. the actual application. Needs bringing up to date.

Confirming, at least as far as --tmp and --tmpfs are concerned. (see bug 583479 and bug 536940). If there are other options you have noted, please describe them here.

If you run vmbuilder kvm ubuntu --help, there are several options
there that are not in the manpage (--bridge for example), and vice
versa.

Yes, those are options specific for the plugins you select(ed). From the man page:

"NOTE: Only common basic options are described here. Many options can be added through plugins and others, they depends on the hypervisor and distro you specify. Please use vmbuilder <hypervisor> <distro> --help for a full options list."

OTOH, they should be documented somewhere.
