Bug Description

To reproduce:
1. Disable netbook-launcher (work with the classic desktop).
2. Close all windows.
3. Open gedit (Firefox, gnome-terminal, etc).
4. Close gedit by clicking the close button in window-picker-applet.

Expected:
window-picker-applet goes blank.

Observed:
window-picker-applet still displays gedit's title.

Notes:
* Closing the application by its own Quit menu command triggers expected behavior.
* Right-clicking the application title in window-picker-applet and choosing Close also triggers expected behavior.
* Same with closing by the window manager-assigned shortcut key.

Version info:
* Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix
* window-picker-applet 0.4.22-0ubuntu1

Paul Larson: bug is fixed for me with the current karmic version 0.5.8. That version is also HEAD of the bzr trunk as of October 1st. So I would say the fix has made it into karmic.

P.S. I just found out I actually have the right to alter the status of this bug. Am I (a user, not a UNR developer) supposed to update the status for this bug in this situation? Is there maybe a wiki page I could read to learn how this is supposed to be done? Thanks.

I can NOT confirm this bug is fixed.
Using: Karmic on Asus eeepc 1000h; without the netbook launcher (regular desktop).
Titlebar remains in applet after closing window, also after switching to an empty workspace. In both cases it disappear only after clicking on another surface (the desktop or other window).

Bug present in Lucid. To reproduce - open two or more applications, close them all. See screenshot in attachement.

Until a few days ago I could reproduce the bug on my fully updated Lucid system, but now I can't any more. I use this version of window-picker-applet: 0.5.10-0ubuntu1.

Sweet, I forgot to close the packaging task, but I confirm that some code landed to fix it :)

Still not working for me. Also, it appears to happen every time the desktop is displayed, not just when the last window is closed. I am using the latest version, 0.5.10-0ubuntu1. I'll change the status again.

I found out today that this bug manifests itself when running compiz, but not when running metacity as the window manager. Still using an up-to-date maverick.
