XChat flashes the window when starting minimized

Bug Description
Binary package hint: xchat
XChat can be started minimized using --minimize=level option. When doing so it still flashes the main window for a very little time. After that it's on the tray as wanted.
The flash is very annoying. I'd like to see it really starting as minimized to tray. Now it opens the window and then minimizes.

I can replicate this bug on Maverick, xchat 2.8.8-1ubuntu1. Not completely sure if this flashing can be avoided, but it's definitely a bug.
