Missing /etc/X11/rgb.txt

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It appears as though your system doesn't have all of it's updates installed. Just going by the fact that the file says "development" branch it tells me that your install was when intrepid was either in Alpha or Beta. I have a couple of up to date systems over here and my lsb-release doesn't contain the same thing yours does.

Actually I missed the bottom part of your bug report. I can confirm that the commands typed above do produce the error message "/etc/X11/rgb.txt: No such file or directory". Marking but as confirmed.

* Setting importance to medium

Marking as triaged... pretty self explanatory, install the package and type xcolors.

I think this bug needs to have higher priority than 'medium' -- it breaks a large number of older (but still quite useful) X11 applications, like 'xterm' and (as was reported to me) x3270.

Thank you for your comment. After reviewing the criteria for assigning status I have determined that this bug is of the correct importance.

Medium importance is defined as:

Medium: most bugs are of medium importance, examples are:

    * A bug that has a moderate impact on a core application.
    * A bug that has a severe impact on a non-core application.
    * A problem with a non-essential hardware component (network card, camera, webcam, music player, sound card, power management feature, printer, etc.)

In this case this bug falls under "A bug that has a moderate impact on a core application". I do appreciate the urgency that you are relaying though in needing this bug fixed.
