Bug Description

I like to queue up songs quickly, however when I am browsing I select artist, album, and then song. Each time I do this the application needs to contact the server to get the artist list, then the album list, and then the song list, and so on.

This makes browsing my music kind of slow, even when I have a good network connection. However, it is handy that it always has the latest stuff from my share, so perhaps the client should just cache all the music information and then only refresh when it knows something has changed.

So I was thinking maybe when I add new songs it should refresh, but for example my Led Zeppelin collection never changes so why refresh it every single time? And when/if I do change my older collection (update tags or something), you know on the server side that there's been a change so maybe you could do some sort of thing where you only tell the client to sync when it's necessary.

Yes, we should absolutely do this.

Is anything happening with this improvement? I find this extremely annoying, especially since I have to wait to play my songs that I have saved for offline playing!
