You are, unfortunately, absolutely correct: Ubuntu One does not
currently support working behind a proxy. I'm duping this to #387308,
which is the feature request for exactly that.

 duplicate 387308

I have the same problem. The applet doesn't connect throught a proxy server. This is really bad, because many people face a proxy server at work, which makes ubuntu one useless for them.

I tried to install and nothing happens. The Add computer page doesn't appear in my Mozilla.

I got this exception:
2009-07-07 15:51:13,816:816.700935364 UbuntuOne.OAuthDesktop.auth There was some unknown login error '(7, "couldn't connect to host")'

It is necessary to show a message to the user like: could not connect to the Server.

Otherwise, it is impossible to know what is happens.

Attached, I added my log file. I tried 2 times in my company and in the end of the day at my place. At home, there is no proxy, so it works ok.

Thank you

I have also noticed the problem with Mozilla. You have to try several times.
Eventually it will work. It is still beta...

Don't you think would be great to add a message error before?
How it works? Does someone need to say: Patrick, do this change?
