Bug Description
It is cumbersome having to wait for the Smart Scope Service to allow searching of applications since that is usually done in a matter of a second anyway (of course, in the case of the File scope, it's a little longer depending on the storage medium).
Since applications and files are usually the first 2 result groups you get with most queries anyway, it makes sense to search those without waiting for the Smart Scope Service.
This reduces the notice of "lag" in getting results fast.
