Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. As this was discovered during alpha testing of Karmic, has it been fixed? Could you try with the final release of Xbuntu 9.10 and let us know if it is still an issue for you?

This is likely a memory corruption. Some of the code related to card name cleaning has been refactored, so I would be interested in the reporter to test xfce4-volumed 0.1.8 and to let me know if a bug still occurs.

Thanks in advance.
