Bug Description
Hi,
In the last few weeks, something changed for the initial window size.
Prior to this update, the initial window size (when I open xpad) was about half of my screen - very handy. Now, when I open xpad, the window size is as big as the content of the note. This is in my case about 5 times the size of my screen - not that handy as I now have to move the window to see the contents at the end of the file. There is no scrollbar.
Resizing the height is not possible at all - then it's only flickering.
Can you please undo this change?
I'm running arch linux with i3 as window manager and use xpad as a floating window.
Best, Max

Hi Max,
You are right that this has changed recently, which is IIRC in version Xpad 5.3.
The default pad size changed from 200x200 pixels to 500x500 pixels.
Depending on your screen size, this can be small or big.
Most people these days have an HD screen 1920x1080, so that was the default.
Fortunately, with the version you can also change this default by the user interface.
[Xpad prefences] -> [Layout] -> [Height new pad] + [Width new pad].
Xpad 5.3 has two annoying bugs of which one you have already encountered: The scrollbars are not working and the titles are not working. This is fixed in 5.4, which is waiting to be packaged for Arch Linux.
Does the preferences setting help you with the pad size?
