contact list not showing all contacts after sync

Bug Description
- reflash phone
- launch address-book
- when prompted to setup sync say yes
- enter google account and open the account and swith on Contacts
- see notice that sync beginning
- switch back to address-book-app
- wait for a while until you see notice that sync complete
Expected results:
- the contact list should be fully populated with contacts that were synced
Actual results:
- the contact list only shows some of the contacts
- you have to kill the app and restart it and then all the contacts are visible
