The current version of Evergreen does not have spellcheck. Catalogers rely on this feature to supply error-free cataloging. Please bring it back!

There hasn't been a spell check in Evergreen. There is a validation feature that checks headings against an authority file. Is that not working as expected in 3.9?

Spellcheck is provided by the browser, not Evergreen, but it looks like there are a few areas in the Evergreen interface where spellcheck has been disabled using spellcheck="false". Could one of these by the problem?

I have no idea how to look at that or check it.

Are you thinking of one of these Library Settings: Maximum search result count at which spelling suggestions may be offered, Minimum required uses of a spelling suggestions that may be offered, or Maximum number of spelling suggestions that may be offered?

I have no idea how to do a min/max search

Hi Brenda,

I'm not sure which browser you use. You may want to verify that you have spell check enabled.

In Chrome, click on the 3 vertical dots located in the upper right-hand side of your screen. Click Settings > select Languages > make sure Spell Check is enabled. This link may take you directly to it (I'm not sure): chrome://settings/languages

In Firefox, click on the 3 horizontal lines located in the upper right-hand side of your screen. Click Settings > scroll down to Language and Appearance > under Language, ensure "Check your spelling as you type" is selected.

Mine is set to basic, and I’m not getting spell check in Evergreen. Will it enable spell check if I click on Enhanced?
